How to Call USCIS Phone Number and Talk to a Customer Service Representative Faster

There is a way to call the US Citizenship & Immigration Service (USCIS) customer service faster.

You can easily check USCIS case status by phone for your case filed with the USCIS by following the steps below:

  • Call 1-800-375-5283
  • Press 1 to continue in English
  • Press 2 for case status
  • Press 1 if you know your receipt number

You can still speak to a USCIS customer service representative even if you lost your receipt number, simply follow the steps below:

  • Call 1-800-375-5283
  • Press 1 to continue in English
  • Press 2 for case status
  • Press 2 if you can't locate your receipt number
  • Press 2 to connect to a USCIS representative

The steps that I showed, will let you talk to the Customer Service after you have been placed in a queue. At this time, you will simply have to wait in line for a Customer Service Rep and be prepared for everything that you want to ask them and this person will be there to help you answer all your inquiries.

This is the most helpful phone number from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service and the wait on hold time will be about 5-15 minutes and the best time to call is about 8:05-8:20 AM. This phone number 800-375-5283 is best known for common problems that a customer care rep will be able to address like Make an Application, Schedule appointment, Request Replacement, Delayed Application, Check status of Application and other similar customer service related issues.

This 800-375-5283 USCIS toll-free number is truly helpful but there are other ways to talk to their customer support team too, by simply calling 212-620-3418 for their International Customer Service department. Their office hours is from Monday-Friday from 8am-6pm EST. You can also avail of their call-back availability. Indeed, many applicants really appreciate a Live Assistance Phone Call from a human being.

I also recommend the USCIS case status webpage since this will also offer the same information just like talking to a representative plus it is immediately available, any time of day through your smartphone, laptop, notebook, or PC. If you need to talk to a representative for another reason, and are in the United States or a U.S. territory, you can simply call the USCIS Contact Center.

For applicants who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, simply dial 800-375-5283 or 800-767-1833 to access the automated information through an interactive menu and this is available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week. Take note that you can get live help from a USCIS Representative Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Eastern Time except on Federal Holidays.
